Once Upon a Time in the West – harp tabs

“Once Upon a Time in the West” is a classic Western movie from 1968 starring Henry Fonda.

The theme music for it was composed by Ennio Morricone, who is an outstanding composer known also for his work on “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly”, specifically the composition called “The Ecstasy of Gold”. Wild West is heavily associated with instruments such as guitar, banjo and harmonica, which makes it a perfect example to learn. Make sure you have a C harmonica, though.

Follow the harmonica notes we’ve prepared and pay attention to the articulation signs, which will tell you when to blow and breathe air through the instrument. Ennio Morricone is known for his emotional approach in his compositions, so feel free to introduce techniques such as tremolo. See our other harmonica lessons for more movie soundtracks and symphonic music.
