harmonica tabs & tutorial – HALLELUJAH

harp tabs tutorial

Learn “Hallelujah” in just a few minutes.

Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is a very good song to learn for a beginner harmonica player. Here’s why. The song is very popular and well-written and it has that “soul”, which you can nicely convey with a diatonic harmonica in C. That’s the harmonica type you need when you will be working with our harmonica tabs. The tabs are fairly simple – they represent the song’s melody and show you when to blow and draw the air. Check our tab tutorial first if you have no clue how to play “Hallelujah”. Once you get that down, the mouth organ practice will become a pure pleasure!

How to start playing “Hallelujah” in just a few minutes.

“Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen was probably one of the first songs I tried to learn as soon as I got my first C harmonica. I love this song and it’s quite a slow song, which was perfect for one of the first songs. I tried to look for tutorials and videos but ultimately I learned most of it by ear. Which took a quite a lot of time but it’s an invaluable technique. In this tutorial I’m presenting the most efficient way to learn “Hallelujah” on a harmonica. I think that with enough persistance and practice, you’ll learn it in half an hour!
